Hi, my name is Gabrielle Hackett

Thanks for visiting my site. Here is a little about me.

I worked as a professional court reporter for several years before pursuing my Doctorate in Psychology. While working as a court reporter, I became increasingly curious about how the human mind worked. What makes people hurt? What influences people? In my pursuit of answers, I became a Stephen’s Minister through the Catholic Diocese of Rochester, New York, eventually becoming a supervisor of the therapists in the program. This program confirmed what I always suspected, that I wanted to pursue psychology further. I then attended the following universities:

SUNY Binghamton, NY for my undergraduate degree in Psychology

John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Manhattan, NY for a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology

Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL for a Doctorate in Psychology

While attending Nova University I was trained at the Nova Family Medicine Clinic, in the G.A.T.E (Gerena and Associates Treatment and Evaluation for Diverted Juvenile Sex Offender Youths) Program, the ADHD Assessment, Consultation, and Treatment Program, as well as the Cleveland Clinic. I completed my internship at the Chrysalis Health Center and my Post-Doctoral Psychology Residency at the University of Florida Health Center for Psychiatry, Addiction and Pain Medicine at the Vero Beach Campus.

I live in Central Florida with my long-time fiancé, Sergio. I enjoy spending time at the beach, traveling to new places, working outside in my yard, finding new ways to decorate the inside of our home, or relaxing reading a good book.
